Terms of Service

Last Updated: May 7, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of DocAddin. Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Agreement

This is a legally binding agreement between you (“you”, “User”) and DocAddin (“DocAddin”, “we”, “us”), a service operated by:

  • D. Danila Pryadko, Spanish autónomo (sole proprietor)
  • NIF / NIE: Z1106449Q
  • Domicilio fiscal: C. de Alicante, 4, 28045 Madrid, España
  • Email: support@docaddin.com

It covers your use of the DocAddin website, web dashboard, and Microsoft Office Add-in (collectively, the “Service”). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you must have your parent or guardian’s consent.

3. Account & security

  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
  • You must notify us immediately at support@docaddin.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • One account per person. You may not transfer or share your account.

4. AI-generated content — important

DocAddin is a productivity tool for Microsoft Office — like a smart text editor or spreadsheet template builder. It uses third-party large language models (Google Gemini, OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude) to generate first-draft content, formulas, scripts, and slide layouts from your prompts.

DocAddin is NOT a professional advisory service. We do not provide legal, financial, tax, medical, accounting, regulated investment, or any other licensed professional advice. Output that touches such topics is generic AI-generated text and must be reviewed by an appropriately qualified professional before you act on it.

  • AI output may be inaccurate, biased, outdated, or inappropriate for your specific context.
  • You are responsible for reviewing every AI output before relying on it — particularly executable code (VBA macros, Office Scripts), figures in legal or financial documents, and any content you publish or send to a third party.
  • Generated VBA / Office Scripts run with your local privileges; do not execute generated code you do not understand.
  • We do not warrant that AI output is fit for any particular purpose. The Service is delivered “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any law or third-party right (copyright, privacy, etc.).
  • Generate content that is illegal, defamatory, sexually explicit involving minors, or designed to harass or threaten.
  • Attempt to extract underlying model weights, system prompts, or proprietary code.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically download the Service except as permitted by law.
  • Resell, white-label, or expose the Service to third parties as a paid product without a separate written agreement.
  • Send abusive volume of requests intended to disrupt the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without refund where the violation is material.

6. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance via our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, who acts as merchant of record and handles applicable VAT / sales tax.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing cycle. Cancel any time from your account settings.
  • EU consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU. By using the Service in that period you expressly waive that right for digital content already supplied to you. Where the right of withdrawal still applies, contact support@docaddin.com.
  • Other jurisdictions: refunds are at our discretion and generally not provided for partially used periods, subject to local consumer-protection law.
  • Free-tier credits do not roll over and have no monetary value.

7. Your content & licence to us

You retain all rights in the prompts and document content you submit (“User Content”). You grant DocAddin a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you (e.g., transmitting it to our LLM providers to generate a response, storing chat history). We do not use User Content to train models. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Our intellectual property

The DocAddin name, logo, website, and software are owned by us. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding except for the limited purpose of using the Service.

9. Third-party services and downtime

The Service depends on third-party platforms (Microsoft Office, Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, Resend, AWS, Lemon Squeezy). Their outages, rate limits, or policy changes may affect availability. We are not liable for interruptions caused by these dependencies, but we will work to mitigate them.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, even if we were advised of their possibility.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (e.g., gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or statutory consumer-protection rights in your jurisdiction).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold DocAddin harmless from any claim, demand, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right or applicable law.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms or for prolonged inactivity (after notice). Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., §10, §11, §13) will do so.

13. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. For disputes that cannot be resolved by direct negotiation, the parties agree to seek resolution first by online mediation. The competent courts shall be those of Madrid, Spain, except that:

  • EU consumers retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence (per the Brussels I bis Regulation, Art. 18) and benefit from the mandatory consumer-protection rules of their country.
  • EU consumers may use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform.
  • Spanish consumers can also file complaints with the Junta Arbitral de Consumo or any competent Spanish consumer authority.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email and on the website at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
